AI paralegal for law firms
Meet Lex. The paralegal that reads the whole file, drafts in your voice, and never files without asking.
Drop in a demand letter, a police report or a stack of scanned medical records. In about seventy seconds Lex has classified it, pulled the facts, drafted the response in your firm's own template, summarized the case and flagged compliance issues — filed to the case and waiting for your review.

How it works
- 1
Drop in the document
PDF, Word, plain text or a photo. Scanned pages and diagrams are read too.
- 2
Lex does the paralegal work
Classify it, extract the facts, draft from your template, write the case summary, flag compliance issues, format the document.
- 3
You review and approve
Everything lands on the case. The one thing Lex can change on its own — filing a document — waits for a human to click Approve.
Built around the case
Every case knows what happens next
A case in LEX carries its stage and checklist for your practice area, its next action, its deadlines, who you are waiting on, the facts Lex found in the documents, and a dated, attributed log of what your team did.
- A stage for the practice area — set it and that stage's checklist lands in Tasks, once
- Case facts read from the documents, each showing where it came from, confirmed by a person
- Next action with a date — or the earliest dated task stands in if none is set
- Tasks & deadlines, a Waiting-on tracker, and notes that cannot be quietly edited

Open LEX and see what needs you today
A work queue split into due now, needs review and the next seven days; the cases with no next action or an overdue one; and your firm's AI usage for the day, shown in tokens.
Home is not a dashboard of charts. It is the list of things a paralegal would put on your desk this morning: what is due, what Lex was not sure about, what is coming this week, and which cases have gone quiet.
Usage is shown in tokens against the firm's daily allowance, so nobody is surprised by the AI bill.
Drafts in your voice, on your letterhead
Your templates. Your letterhead. Lex's speed.
Teach LEX your style from an example letter or write the template yourself. Drafts stream into a formatted preview, and the Word export matches it line for line. Upload your real letterhead once and every export is poured into it — fonts, logo and footer intact.
Lex drafts demand letters, correspondence and summaries from the facts in the case file, following the structure, tone and sign-off of the template you approved.
Nothing invented: where a fact is missing, the draft says so instead of guessing, so the review is about judgment, not fact-checking.

Built for confidential work
Law firms handle other people's worst days. LEX is built so that stays private.
- Each firm's data is isolated in the database itself, not just in the app
- Documents live in private storage that no browser can read
- Lex can only see what the signed-in person can see
- No training on your data — Anthropic's commercial API terms
- Hosted in the United States (Supabase on AWS Ohio, Vercel)
- Export everything as a ZIP whenever you want

Straight answers
Will Lex change things in our files without asking?
No. Lex reads, drafts and summarizes. The only change it can make to your records is filing a document to a case, and that only happens after a person clicks Approve on a card that shows exactly what will be saved.
What documents can Lex handle?
More than sixty document types across fifteen practice areas — demand letters, medical records and bills, police reports, first reports of injury, agency charges, discovery, deposition transcripts, deeds, wills, petitions, office actions, registration certificates and more — plus anything else as a general document. PDF, Word, plain text and photos, including scanned pages.
Which practice areas?
Personal injury, workers' compensation, employment, medical malpractice, civil litigation, family, criminal defense, immigration, estate and probate, real estate, business, bankruptcy, trademark, patent and copyright. An admin enables the areas your firm practices in Settings and picks the default for cases without a type. Each area brings its document types, case stages, checklists and the facts worth tracking. South African firms see seven areas of their own, built for South African law.
Does our data train the AI?
No. Documents and messages are processed through Anthropic's commercial API, whose terms exclude using customer data for training. LEX itself never trains models on your content.
How do we get our data out?
Settings has an Export everything button that produces one ZIP: spreadsheets of every record plus the original documents. If you leave, your workspace is deleted on request.
Who hosts LEX?
Supabase (database, sign-in and private storage, on AWS in Ohio), Vercel (the web application), Anthropic (the AI model) and Resend (email). All in the United States. The full list is on the Privacy & data handling page.
Can firms outside the United States use LEX?
Yes. A South African firm sets its country once and LEX follows: amounts in rand, day-first dates, documents laid out on A4, seven practice areas built for South African law (personal injury and Road Accident Fund claims, labour and the CCMA, family and divorce, deceased estates, commercial and company work, conveyancing, civil litigation), Lex and the document pipeline framed in South African law and terminology, and the Terms carry POPIA operator terms. Data is processed in the United States; the Privacy & data handling page says exactly where.
Give Lex your next demand letter.
